Kiln Dried Logs Small Crate
The kiln dried wood Small Crate holds about 1.5 builders bags of logs, or roughly 1.28 cubic meters of loose logs. This measurement follows the industry standard for determining the volume of loose logs from a stacked load. Since stacked logs occupy less space than loose logs, our crates are an excellent choice for maximizing storage efficiency.
If you plan to transfer the contents of the crate into another storage container, keep in mind that there will be a difference between the volumes of stacked and loose logs. For instance, a 1 cubic meter container will only accommodate 0.75 cubic meters of stacked logs.
Uses of kiln-dried wood:
This wood is versatile due to its low moisture content, which enhances its stability, durability, and resistance to warping or shrinking. Here are some common applications for kiln-dried wood:
1. Furniture Making
It is perfect for crafting high-quality furniture because it remains stable and resists moisture-related issues like warping, shrinking, or cracking.
2. Construction and Carpentry
In the construction industry, kiln-dried wood is frequently used for framing, flooring, beams, and other structural elements due to its strength and lower likelihood of deformation over time.
3. Woodworking and Craft Projects

4. Flooring
It is a popular choice for hardwood flooring because its consistent moisture content prevents buckling and gaps between the floorboards.
5. Millwork and Molding
Molding, trim, and other decorative millwork are often crafted from this wood, as it allows for precision and ensures a clean, uniform appearance.
6. Outdoor Furniture and Decking
This wood is commonly utilized in outdoor furniture, decking, and pergolas, as its moisture resistance enables it to endure various weather conditions better than green wood.
7. Doors and Windows
